Everyone has the right to access independent advocacy
The Mental Health (Care and Treatment)(Scotland) Act 2003 means everyone who has a mental illness, learning disability, dementia and other conditions the right to access independent advocacy. The Mental Welfare Commission has a report here that will tell you a bit more about your right to independent advocacy.
