Board Members
We are always on the look out for additional Board Members to diversify our knowledge and organisation. If you are interested in providing input to the direction of a small organisation and in particular have skills in procurement or finance we would love to hear from you. We are also interested in people who may have experience or caring responsibilities for those with lived experience. Full support and an induction is provided. We meet every 2 months, alternating between online and in-person meetings based at The State Hospital. Volunteer Advocate
We are looking for volunteers who can give up to one day per week, to support our independent advocacy service. This is a chance to gain experience in a high secure hospital and learn about forensic mental health advocacy.
What will I do?
- Support patients to have their voices heard.
- Help people understand their rights and make informed choices.
- Work alongside our advocacy team
Who can apply? Anyone interested in helping others and learning new skills is welcome to apply.
How much time do I need to give?
- Up to one day each week.
- A minimum commitment of one year is required.
- This is because training and induction take several months to complete.
